These 2 buildings that used to live on London Rd (after it splits away from Abbeydale Rd) have been a mainstay of my walk around a particular bit of Sheffield during the Covid lockdowns. Having passed by them over decades, seeing the change in businesses and then the absence as it was clear the building were becoming unsafe. Their ghostly presence, once abandoned, acting as a reminder from the twentieth century of what used to be. It was during the lockdown in late spring of this year, 2021, when they finally were demolished.
